About J.F.Lyne Gardens

Founded by Dartmoor local Jake, we are a small but dedicated team of like-minded gardeners in Devon with genuine care for the landscapes we work in.

Raised on Dartmoor, Jake grew up exploring the moor and learning the land firsthand. After studying horticulture in Bristol and honing his skills in a variety of gardens, he returned home to do what he loves most; working outdoors, caring for beautiful spaces, and helping others enjoy them too.

Ecology sits at the heart of everything we do. We take a thoughtful, environmentally sensitive approach to gardening and land management, with the long-term health of the moor in mind. Our team never takes for granted how lucky we are to work among Devon’s rich variety of flora and fauna and meeting the wonderful people who live here.

We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern capability, using the finest Japanese hand-tools alongside a full range of professional power tools for larger projects. Whether it’s ongoing maintenance or ad hoc projects, we aim to make the process clear, reliable, and straightforward.
